Profile Information

Why I'm interested in FaithTravels
I'm working with a small team to try to do as much as we can to network together different individuals and communities through this website.

We'd love people to be able to travel the World and know they have Faith Family in every place they go.

A bit about me...

I'm originally from the UK but moved to live in Sydney, Australia in 2004. My wife (Tracy) and I are passionate about travelling and have been to quite a few places around the World on different trips. We have a boy called Ethan and hope that one day we can do a family trip to South America for a year.

If you're heading to Australia we'd love to be able to help with travel info. We've been all around here and have quite a lot of connections with churches in most places.

If you're in Manly, Sydney then we'd love to meet up with you so get in touch.
I love surfing, fishing, sailing and climbing so if you want to do any of these while you're here then let me know.

September 2009 Update from the Backpacking.is.it network

Hello there

Here’s the latest update from the Backpacking.is.it network

Tracy, Ethan and I are doing really well. Life in Manly is as busy as ever juggling work and ministry is always a challenge, but God continues to be faithful to us when we stay focussed on putting this ministry first. I’m exited to have the opportunity next month to partner with George Probek speaking for a week at a YWAM school in New Zealand where the focus of the school is outreach through… Continue

Hi Jamie,

We welcome missionaries, full-time workers, Christians and public travelers at Grateful - Christian Guest house, Bloemfontein, South Africa.

My wife and I were trained in a ministry college in South Africa, where we continued as lecturers working there equipping saints for the work of the ministry and ministering in many towns in South Africa. We felt in 2007 to start a Christian Guest House in Bloemfontein South Africa. We now run GRATEFUL Christian Guest House / Hostel Backpackers / Camp Grounds that in turn is a type of mission station where Christians, seekers, missionaries and Full-Time ministers can be refreshed and even trained and ministered to if needed. We also have discount and volunteer options.

God Bless you. John & Melody

Hi Jamie,

Yeah that's fine if you want to put a link to us on Google. Unfortunately our website is down at the moment but we're hoping to remedy that as soon as possible. Let us know if you need anything from us,

Andy & Lynne.

Thank you for your help and questions; I am absolutely open for people to come and volunteer or just join to talk with our guests about Jesus. Besides me (manager) the hostel is run by volunteers, every year we get a team from Wheaton College that runs it from start till end of July. They are such a blessing and we are priviliged to be a part of their Outreach Program. If anyone is interested in coming to us during the summer I would love to be in touch with them. It's importans to notice that we are only open in the summer season, mid-June to mid-August. Big blessing!

We are excited as well. Most of all because everything seemed at some point impossible, but some how, not by might, not by power but His Spirit, it all seems to end up this way. Kids are enrolled and we are looking veeeery much forward to starting to work at Hosanna and seeing what the Lord has in store for us, and everybody and Hosanna. Hope to meet up with you also in 2011!

Hi Jamie
I would love to come down in October and meet you. I would just have started in a new job and won't have any A/L, so I'll have to come down in the weekend. Would the weekend before or after suit best?
Thanks,
Gunilla
