Where's yours taking you?

PATIENT TRUST IN OURSELVES AND IN THE SLOW WORK OF GOD

Above all, trust in the slow work of God. We are, quite naturally impatient in everything to reach the end without delay. We should like to skip the intermediate stages. We are impatient of being on the way to something unknown, something new and yet it is the law of all progress that it is made by passing through some stages of instability--And that it may take a very long time.

And so I think it is with you. Your ideas mature gradually-let them grow, let them shape themsleves, without undue haste. Don't try to force them on, as though you could be today what time (that is to say, grace and circumstances acting on your own good will) will make you tomorrow.

Only God could say what this new spirit gradually forming within you will be. Give our God the benefit of believing that you are being led and accept the anxiety of feeling yourself in suspense and incomplete.

AMEN! often this is not a nice experience, as long as we see it self centered and in midst of trouble. But "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body." 1.Kor. 4

Perfect timing for sharing this Jean - this really fits into the journey with the ministry. Right now, it seems as if we are coming out of what has appeared to be a 'slow' work, even at times having doubts...but these last few months, I have seen more happen in the 'work of God' among the travelers than at any other time of the 20 years I've been involved. Thank you for sharing this and looking forward for more input like this from you soon again
